Electrical safety first

We have been successful in receiving a grant from electrical safety first. Children are learning about fire safety in the home and they will prepare a doll house to display all the hazards in the home.

We will be running 3 events in Rochdale to do P.A.T testing and furthermore will be offering electrical safety tests and repair in-house visits for the vulnerable.

December The 5th

We have now purchased miniture items and a 12th scale dolls house to install all hazards one would normally find in a house. This is to teach children about fire safety.

We scheduled our main events for the 21st January 2023 and 24th January 2023.

One event at Touchstones museum Rochdale and one at Balderstone million pivillion venue.

Both events were successful but not as many people took advantage of the P.A.T testing opportunities.

Many families were interested in the dolls house educational for their children and also for the exposure to electrical components and how they work. They wanted to learn about Electrical Safety in the home and all around us through practical wiring components.

We will be doing a few home tests. Especially for vulnerable adults.

We will now continue using the dolls house to educate various children areas in our community about electrical safety.

Children had a worksheet and needed to identify the electrical safety hazards and then they had to think of other possible hazards.
